Privacy
We don’t keep a single word of what you say. Traducore translates your voice as you speak and keeps neither the audio nor the text. When the session ends, nothing of the conversation remains: not on your computer, not on our servers.
This page explains, without hedging, what happens to your voice and what data we keep. If anything is unclear, write to us at hola@traducore.com and we’ll clear it up.
What happens to your voice
While translation is running, the audio travels encrypted from your computer to the translation engine, which returns the translated speech straight away. That audio is processed on the fly and discarded: it isn’t written to disk, isn’t stored in a database and can’t be recovered afterwards. Not by us either.
The consequence is the one you’d expect, and we’d rather say it out loud: we can’t give you the transcript of a past meeting, or a summary, or search through what was said. Other tools can offer that because they keep the text. We chose the opposite, and that’s the difference.
What we do keep
| Data | What for |
|---|---|
| Your email address | To identify your account and to reach you about something important |
| Your password, encrypted | To sign in. It’s encrypted and not even we can read it |
| Date, duration and languages of each session | To deduct your minutes and let you see your own usage |
| Your glossary, if you use one | So the translator respects your names and terms |
| Your conversations with support and with the assistant | To solve your problem and to see what we still need to explain |
| Billing details | To issue your invoices and meet our tax obligations |
What we don’t keep
- The audio of your conversations.
- A transcript of what anyone says, in the original language or translated.
- Summaries, minutes or notes from your meetings.
- Nothing you translate is used to train artificial intelligence models.
- Your card details: payment is handled by Stripe and they never pass through here.
We do keep technical measurements of each session — how many milliseconds each stretch took, how many characters a sentence ran to — so we can spot when the service is running slow. They’re numbers, never the text of the conversation.
Who else is involved
These providers are involved in making the service work:
- Two cloud artificial intelligence providers supply the engines that translate your voice in real time: one on the paid plans, which is also what answers when you ask the assistant on the website or in your account, and another on the free plan, which transcribes and translates (the free plan’s voice is generated on our own servers). The audio passes through them for the duration of the session.
- Stripe processes payments and issues invoices.
- Acumbamail sends the account emails: confirming your sign-up, resetting your password, and letting you know when you’re running low on minutes.
We don’t sell your data, we don’t share it for commercial purposes, and there is no third-party advertising in Traducore.
Website analytics
To find out how people reach us and which pages are useful, the website uses Google Analytics, which sets its own cookies (_ga), plus a cookie of ours (tc_origen) recording the channel you came from, which is noted in your account if you sign up. None of this has anything to do with your conversations or what you translate.
Measurement is active from the moment you arrive. You can reject it in the cookie notice with one click: we then delete those cookies and stop measuring your visit. Advertising cookies are always off.
What you can do yourself, right now
Without asking permission or waiting for a reply, from your account area:
- Download all your data in a file you can take wherever you like.
- Delete your account completely. Everything goes: profile, history and balance. There’s no hidden copy and no recycle bin.
- Sign out on every device, if you’ve left your account open on a computer that isn’t yours.
How long the data lasts
Your account and your history live as long as you keep the account open. Delete it and they go with it. Invoices are kept for as long as Spanish tax law requires, because there we have no choice.
Data controller
The data controller is Xavier Sánchez Tolsà, Spanish tax ID (NIF) 48602844A,
with address at Calle Málaga, 22, Urbanización Nova Maravisa, 46185 La Pobla de Vallbona (Valencia, Spain) and contact email hola@traducore.com.
You can exercise your rights of access, rectification, erasure, objection, restriction and portability by writing to hola@traducore.com. The first two are already in your hands from your account area.
If you believe we have mishandled your data, you can lodge a complaint with the
Spanish Data Protection Agency.
We would appreciate it if you wrote to us first: almost everything is settled in one email.
